ProForm® 730 treadmill Review

This is a roomy treadmill with a sturdy motor and plenty of useful features suitable for those on a tight budget. It is a model from the prolific ProForm brand manufactured by the market leader in exercise equipment, ICON health and fitness. Its main U.S.P is its price- it is one among the cheapest treadmills available in the market without compromising on essential qualities. ProForm is famous for bringing out entry-level models and this product is one of them. The ProForm 730 treadmill boasts of a sturdy 2.0 CHP motor. But this MACH drive system is suitable only for amateur runners and exercisers and not for professionals. It can work up to a speed of 10 mph but it is not recommended to work it up to such high speeds. Nevertheless it is commendable that this machine works efficiently and quietly.

It is a really roomy treadmill and has a 20” x 55” sized tread belt. The deck has a Proshox impact Absorption system that is an air-based system that leads to a cushioning effect on the feet while they undergoing the grueling work out.

The ProForm 730 treadmill has a one touch Quick Speed control that enables you to shift speeds form 0 to 10 at the touch of the button. Similarly incline levels can also be manipulated with a gentle touch of Quick Incline button.

There is also an easy to read control panel with Clear view console technology. Five large LED windows display your speed, pulse, time, distance, incline, pace and calories burnt so that you can monitor your progress. Mark the progress on the 5” x 7” matrix and adjust speed and incline without missing your step.

There are also eight built-in workouts out of which 6 are preprogrammed and two pulse driven work out to leave some space for creativity. The model is also iFit compatible. The ifit personal training system is an amazing technology, which coordinates speed, and inclines according to interactive fitness programmes. You can connect your treadmill to programs from iFit C.D’s and iFit videos.

EKG heart monitor built into the handlebars keeps track of your pulse rate during the work out. Last but not the least are the built in two speed cool air fans. They create currents of speed 4-6 mph--- the ideal cooling temperature to cool you down. Some other points-User capacity of the machine is 300 lb. It has an attractive space saver design. It has space for storage of water bottle, keys, headphones etc.

The motor has a 90-day warranty. With this warranty one must be careful while purchasing. ProForm uses cheap internal parts hence, the short warranty. But overall ProForm tread mills are quite good value for money and this model like other ProForm models have features that are not available on other budget models.
